Fun Portraits in Pastels

Although I am new to pastels and usually use many other different mediums it is fun to sketch portraits with them.

Once in a while I like to experiment with using pastels, although the medium is not one that I have much experience using. I think it is fun to change mediums and let my creativity go wild.

This painting was done in Prisma colored pencils. I used archival mat board to render this painting and once when it was put in the State Fair they thought it was a photograph and put it in with the photography.
